I feel like when Amazon prime comes out with a loyalty rewards program, retail as we know it is doomed.

Hi Mark, you’re probably right. But keep in mind Amazon is also losing a lot of money (I think it’s like $5 Billion/year) on shipping. Most of that is related to Amazon Prime. It’s still too early to say what will ultimately happen. But yes, if anyone is close to changing the face of retails it’s most definitely Amazon. Thanks for add your thoughts.
ReplyAmazon Prime IS a loyalty program. Consumers pay an annual fee for the privilege of free 2 day shipping. Once a consumer joins Prime, I suspect that a large portion of their consumer needs are filled through Amazon
